For The Library Project, Berean and Foster invited 40 artists to select a book which has been critically influential to their artistic practice. These books are then placed within the library system accompanied by statements offering an insight into each artist’s choice. The artist statements have been collated to produce a book accompanying the installation.

Artists involved in the project include Ricky Swallow, David Noonan, Callum Morton, Sally Smart, Kathy Temin, Darren Sylvester, Tim Silver, Benjamin Armstrong, Michael Zavros , Elizabeth Newman, Emily Floyd, DAMP and Nadine Christensen.

This project extends Berean and Foster’s continuing investigation into procedures, events and relationships existing within the spaces of public institutions and will remain active as a public installation over the next two years.
